  • What is an Emotional Support Animal (ESA) or Psychiatric Service Dog (PSD) prescription letter?
    It is letter that can ONLY be precribed by a mental health professional to patients who meet specific ADA criteria. The patient must have a diagnosable behavioral/mental health condition that has a significant negative impact on their daily function. A support or service animal are often prescribed as alternative therapeutic interventions to alleviate the patient's negative symptoms.
  • Am I a good candidate for this service?
    If you are suffering from a psychological condition such as anxiety or depression, then - YES!
  • What is the process for getting a letter?
    You will have to meet with a mental health professional (MHP) that is licensed to practice in your state. Once that appointment has been scheduled, the MHP will conduct an evaluation/assessment of your psychological condition. At the end of the assessment, the MHP will determine if this form of animal assissted therapy is a right fit for you. If you are a good candidate, the MHP will issue you a prescription letter within 24 hours of your appointment.
  • Are there other services such as one-to-one therapy available?
    Absolutely! Once you have met and established care with an MHP we encourage you to explore other options that can be added to your current treatment plan. Most MHP's or providers will request routine check ins. We reommend a minimum 6 month follow up appointment. If your current provider isn't doing this, we suggest you find a new provider.
  • What can an ESA/PSD letter be used for?
    Just like any other prescription, an ESA/PSD letter is proof that your support/service animal is part of your treatment plan. This can be used to request special accomodations is housing, travel, work, or access to public places that would normally restrict animals. As a person with a non-visible disability you have rights under the Fair Housing Act, Hud, and the ADA. A valid ESA/PSD letter will aid you in requesting reasonable accomodations and fair treatment due to your disability.
  • Do you offer refunds?
    Unfortunately we do not. Most websites and companies advertise the sale of a letter with a 100% money back guarantee. We do not sell ESA/PSD letters. We are a patient referral company who matches patients with providers who perform expedited behavioral healthcare assessments.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
